*Arrest made for attacking CMC doctors and staff*

On 22nd February 2018, around 6:30 pm, relatives of a deceased patient became enraged and damaged hospital property and attacked the doctors and staff present in the ward at CMCH, Ludhiana. Following this a complaint was filed by the CMC administration and doctors at the local police station. Around 250 junior doctors from CMC held a peaceful protest against this hate-crime on 23rd evening and asked the local administration and police authorities to arrest the culprits. Upon this police came into swift action and registered a case against the culprits

The CMC hospital also got support from Junior Doctors Association (CMC), Indian Medical Association (IMA), Ludhiana and local administration and finally, today , on the 25 th of February,the culprit  has been caught by the local police and the police has taken strict action against the culprit under The Punjab protection of Medicare service persons and Medicare institutions. (Prevention of violence and damage of property Bill), 2008

Dr. William Bhatti, Medical Superintendent thanked the Police Administration, Ludhiana, the local administration, IMA and junior doctors association who united together against injustice and crime and set an example for the people who take law in their hands and disrupt medical services by physically abusing medical staff and damage hospital property.

22 ਫਰਵਰੀ 2018 ਨੂੰ, ਕਰੀਬ 6:30 ਵਜੇ, ਇਕ ਮ੍ਰਿਤਕ ਮਰੀਜ਼ ਦੇ ਰਿਸ਼ਤੇਦਾਰ ਗੁੱਸੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਦੀ ਸੰਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਪਹੁੰਚਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਸੀ.ਐਮ.ਐਚ.ਚ. ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਵਿਖੇ ਵਾਰਡ ਵਿਚ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਡਾਕਟਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਟਾਫ 'ਤੇ ਹਮਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ. ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਸੀ.ਐਮ.ਸੀ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਥਾਨਕ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਥਾਣੇ ਦੇ ਡਾਕਟਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤ ਦਰਜ ਕਰਵਾਈ ਸੀ. ਸੀ.ਐਮ.ਸੀ. ਦੇ ਲਗਪਗ 250 ਜੂਨੀਅਰ ਡਾਕਟਰਾਂ ਨੇ 23 ਫਰਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਨਫ਼ਰਤ-ਅਪਰਾਧ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀਪੂਰਨ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਥਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੋਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕਿਹਾ. ਇਸ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਤੇਜ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਹੋਈ ਅਤੇ ਦੋਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਕੇਸ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤਾ.

ਸੀ.ਐੱਮ.ਸੀ. ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਨੂੰ ਜੂਨੀਅਰ ਡਾਕਟਕ ਐਸੋਸੀਏਸ਼ਨ (ਸੀ.ਐਮ.ਸੀ.), ਇੰਡੀਅਨ ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਐਸੋਸੀਏਸ਼ਨ (ਆਈ.ਐਮ.ਏ.), ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਥਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਤੋਂ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਅਖੀਰ ਅੱਜ, 25 ਫਰਵਰੀ ਨੂੰ, ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਥਾਨਕ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਫੜ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਕੋਲ ਮੈਡੀਕੇਅਰ ਸਰਵਿਸ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਡੀਕੇਅਰ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੇਠ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਸਖਤ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ. (ਹਿੰਸਾ ਦੀ ਰੋਕਥਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਰਟੀ ਬਿਲ ਦੇ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ), 2008.

ਡਾ. ਵਿਲੀਅਮ ਭੱਟੀ, ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਸੁਪਰਿਨਟੇਨਡੇਟ ਨੇ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ, ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ, ਸਥਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ, ਆਈ.ਐਮ.ਏ. ਅਤੇ ਜੂਨੀਅਰ ਡਾਕਟਰ ਐਸੋਸੀਏਸ਼ਨ ਦਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਜੋ ਬੇਇਨਸਾਫ਼ੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਪਰਾਧ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਇਕਜੁੱਟ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਮਿਸਾਲ ਕਾਇਮ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਨੂੰਨ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਰੀਰਕ ਤੌਰ ' ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਸਟਾਫ ਅਤੇ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਦਾ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਦੀ ਜਾਇਦਾਦ
