Ludhiana Orthopaedic Association in conjunction
with department of Orthopaedics, DMC & Hospital, Ludhiana organized
quarterly academic meet of the association at Hotel Radisson Blu. The main
speaker of the evening was Prof W Klauser from Hamburg, Germany. Prof Dr
Harpal, President, LOA, introduced Prof DrKlauser, a world-renowned hip and knee
joint replacement surgeon from Endoklinik.
Prof Klauser delivered three very informative
talks on revision knee surgery, bone loss in revision knee surgery and
infections in joint replacement. Department of Orthopaedics, DMC & Hospital
presented very difficult and challenging cases of Hip and knee replacement
performed at DMC & Hospital. The case discussion session was chaired by
Prof Klauser, Prof Yamin, Prof Garg, Dr Gill and moderated by Dr Harpal. The
meeting was attended by over 50 orthopods from Ludhiana, Jagraon, Phillaur,
Chandigarh.
Earlier in the day, Prof Klauser delivered 3
three lectures for Postgraduate residents of department of Orthopaedics at DMC
& Hospital on preoperative planning of total knee and hip joint
replacement.
DrYaminpresented a token of thanks to Prof
Klauserand Dr Harpal proposed the vote to thanks to Prof Klauser and Zimmer
Institute for the academic event.
